SHOKANJI Preschool

About Us

WE BELIEVE THAT CHILDREN ARE BORN EAGER
READY TO LEARN…

OUR STORY

We had a dream to create pre-schools for children that could instill in them the basic core values of any good human being by giving them and fine educational foundation learning the importance of the words love, respect, personality, friendship, humility, motivation, tolerance and acceptance. We believe these core values instilled at such young and age will certainly place them in good stead as they grow to find their wings to soar as young adults to create a positive impact in society and the world.

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

pre-school

Most Ven. Bangala Upatissa Nayaka Thero

Chairman

It gives me immense satisfaction in writing this introductory message.

The purpose of establishing Yoshida Shokanji International School was to provide an opportunity for children to receive an education in the English Medium in a conductive atmosphere that is consistent with the most modern trends in education at the Primary and Secondary School Levels.

It was also my intention to provide this facility in the context of preserving the traditional values in Sri Lanka cultural and religious heritage.

The school also provides facilities for extracurricular activities including sports required to ensure the physical well being of the child. Hence the school has provision for indoor and outdoor sports including swimming.

An education in the English Medium will provide the child with not only a glimpse into the world at large but will also make them robust citizens of the global village. However it is equally necessary that this process does not alienate the child from our traditional roots.

I can confidently state that the school provides a healthy synthesis of the new frontiers of education and our ingrained national ethos.
